The project

Training, mobility and employment support for young NEETs

NeNO – NEETs Need Our Help was created to increase employability and develop basic skills among 36 young NEETs aged 18 to 29, registered with public employment services and coming from different areas of Romania. The project combines training pathways, career guidance, mentoring and transnational internships, with the aim of facilitating access to employment, re-entry into education or stronger integration into society.

The activities include the identification and selection of three groups of young people from Bucharest, Ilfov, Olt and Valcea, the definition of personalized training plans and participation in vocational training courses, English language, digital skills, project management and intercultural training. The core of the project is mobility in Italy, where participants complete a four-month internship experience in real-life settings, particularly in the fields of agri-food, digitalization and social media.

MAReA participates in the project as the Italian partner, coordinating the preparatory meeting in Italy and supporting the organization of the mobility activities. In particular, MAReA manages the logistical aspects, prepares the necessary information for participants, creates an Info Pack on the host context and coordinates with the host organizations where the young people carry out their internships. Each group is also accompanied by mentoring figures to facilitate personal and professional adaptation during the experience in Italy.

After the mobility period, the project includes follow-up activities, career guidance, mentoring and entrepreneurship support, in order to enhance the skills acquired and accompany young people in their transition towards the labour market or further training pathways. NeNO therefore aims to create a transnational model of active inclusion, capable of combining training, practical experience, individual support and collaboration among organizations, institutions and companies.
